Amazing Animals

Explore the habitats of animals across the globe, from lush rainforests and dry deserts to icy polar lands. We’ll discover how animals adapt to their surroundings, craft habitat dioramas, and learn about the importance of conservation. Amazing Animals is an interactive preschool lesson plan that encourages children to construct knowledge through meaningful play, thoughtfully planned activities, and active exploration of the environment. Children will be engaged in hands-on activities as they learn about various habitats and the importance of conservation. While the unit incorporates many different Pennsylvania Learning Standards, it focuses on the key learning areas of “Scientific Thinking and Technology” and “Creative Thinking and Expression.” Specifically, children will engage in learning activities that meet the PA Standard Areas of Life Science and Visual Arts.
