Canvas Kids

Get ready for a whirlwind of creativity! Use sponges, cotton balls, and even toy cars dipped in paint to create unique artwork, experiment with mixing primary colors to discover new shades, and craft kaleidoscopes to explore dazzling patterns and colors. Canvas Kids is an interactive preschool lesson plan that encourages children to construct knowledge through meaningful play, thoughtfully planned activities, and active exploration of the environment. While the unit incorporates many different Pennsylvania Learning Standards, it focuses on the key learning area “Creative Thinking and Expression.” Specifically, children will engage in learning activities that meet the PA Standard Areas of Production and Performance: Visual Arts.
