Explore the natural world around you! Our nature scavenger hunt will have campers looking for all the colors in the rainbow. We’ll learn about and compare different types of clouds, create animal habitats, and make art with things we can find in the world around us. Nature Explorers is an interactive school-age lesson plan that encourages students to use a variety of items from nature to construct knowledge through meaningful play, thoughtfully planned activities, and exploration of the environment. While the lesson plan incorporates many different Pennsylvania Learning Standards, it focuses on the key learning area of “Approaches to Learning through Play.” Specifically, students will learn to engage in learning activities that meet the PA Standard Areas of Scientific Thinking and Technology – Exploring, Scientific Inquiry, and Discovery.
