Investigate the properties of light as we conduct experiments to understand how light travels and go on a scavenger hunt with flashlights! This week-long lesson plan provides students with opportunities to investigate the properties of light through various experiments that show how light can travel. Shiny and Bright touches on several of the Pennsylvania Learning Standards but focuses on “Approaches to Learning through Play.” Students will be immersed in learning activities that will meet the PA Standard Areas of Constructing, Organizing, and Applying Knowledge.
